MEAN Stack with Apache, PostgreSQL, and Node.js
Project Overview
This project showcases a MEAN stack application where Apache serves as a reverse proxy, PostgreSQL is used for the database, and Node.js powers the backend. The frontend is designed to fetch container IDs and names from the database via an API call, displaying the results dynamically. The application is deployed in a Kubernetes cluster, utilizing Kind (Kubernetes in Docker) for container orchestration.
Technologies Used
- Apache: Serves as the reverse proxy to manage requests between the frontend and backend services.
- PostgreSQL: The database system used to store container details.
- Node.js: Provides the backend logic, connecting to the PostgreSQL database and serving data to the frontend via API.
- MEAN Stack: Utilized for building the full-stack application, integrating MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js.
- Kubernetes with Kind: Used for managing and deploying the containers within a local cluster.
Documentation
The project includes detailed documentation for setting up and deploying the MEAN stack. It provides instructions for configuring Apache as the reverse proxy, connecting to PostgreSQL, and running the entire application within a Kubernetes environment using Kind.
